Awareness Friday

Every half term, a charity nominated by a member of staff, a parent or a pupil is chosen as part of our commitment to raising awareness and funds for local, national or international issues. Throughout the term each class will learn a little more about the charity Highfield is supporting and wherever possible, we like to invite someone from the charity out come and speak to the children about the work that will happen as a result of their fundraising efforts. If you have a charity which you would like us to support, please come and talk to Mrs Tynegate in Reception Class.

On Friday 2nd of February we will be taking part in the Jump Rope event to raise money for the  British Heart Foundation, which is our charity for the first half of term.

On Wednesday 21st March we will be having a fund raising event for World Down Syndrome Day. We would like the children to wear odd socks and bring money to buy a gingerbread sock biscuit to raise money to support the Cheshire Down's syndrome Support Group. This will be our charity for the second half of term.

Awareness Friday

Each Friday the children have the opportunity to wear non-uniform and donate money to our chosen charity. All funds raised by the end of the half term are totalled and donated to the chosen charity.
