Assemblies and Celebrations

Spring Term 2024

Our Values Based Assembly themes will be: Democracy, Diversity, Tolerance, Courage and Hope. All pupils are encouraged to explore the theme for the week in the Monday Assembly with Ms Dowing and follow this up for the remainder of the week in lessons, assemblies and uphold the values around the school.

We are also addressing our SEAL topics: "New Beginnings" and "Getting on and Falling Out". These are important themes that relate to this time of the academic year. Sessions in class also follow these themes and allow chidlren the opportunity to talk about the issues that they can face and how a range of solutions can overcome any challenges.

We are committed to supporting a range of International, National and Local Charities over the course of the year. We try to highlight the charities which we are supporting each term and the fund raising that will take place. We often invite representatives of the charity in to speak, too.

Tuesdays and Wednesday are Class-Based Assemblies, based on a weekly whole school theme.  These themes are linked to current affairs and address living and thriving in our community, city, country and world through SMSC.

Parents are warmly invited to our Number One Assembly, every Friday morning at 9.10am in the school hall.
