Assemblies and Celebrations

AUTUMN TERM 2019

Our Values Based Assembly themes will be: Democracy, Diversity, Tolerance, Courage and Hope. All pupils are encouraged to explore the theme for the week in the Monday Assembly with Ms Dowing and follow this up for the remainder of the week in lessons, assemblies and uphold the values around the school.

We are also addressing our SEAL topics: "New Beginnings" and "Getting on and Falling Out". These are important themes that relate to this time of the academic year. Sessions in class also follow these themes and allow chidlren the opportunity to talk about the issues that they can face and how a range of solutions can overcome any challenges.

We are committed to supporting a range of International, National and Local Charities over the course of the year. We try to highlight the charities which we are supporting each term and the fund raising that will take place. We often invite representatives of the charity in to speak, too.

Our Open The Book assemlies on Thursdays will cover: The New Testament; Miracles; Parables; Stories about Jesus. We are also pleased to have Revd. Tina taking an assembly for us each half term.

Parents are warmly invited to our Celebration Assemblies on a Friday afternoon at 2.45pm in the school hall.
