Year 2 2021 - 2022
Welcome to Year 2
Mrs Bolley, Mr Howarth and Mrs Barber
Class Dojo is a great way for me to keep in touch with you all. It's always great to see what you've been up to!
The Autumn term's context for learning within our vision is ‘Wildlife Connections: Conservation in Action’. Our big question this term is: Should Wild Animals Be Kept in Captivity?
This will be explored through the Story Box approach, which children first encountered in Early Years, which is drama-rich and engages leaners through provocations, requiring deep thinking, with a focus on raising the profile of oracy.
Our World Knowledge, Science and English will all follow the books; The Bog Baby and The Rainbow Bear.
Through the story of The Bog Baby as a basis we will enter Sarah and her Sister Chrissy's world and meet their secret pet and help them make her feel better! With a focus on a Finding Narrative and writing Fact Files and Instructions.
