Highfield venture down under

Today children and staff travelled around the world in a day! Working in streamed family groups from nursery to year 6, children journeyed from Costa Rica to France, India, China, Morroco, Vietnam and Australia.

When children stepped into the year 2 classroom they were transported down under to Australia. Children learnt about the symbols on the Australian flag, the climate, native animals, landmarks and some Australian history. After learning a short aboriginal dance with musical instruments, we set to work creating our own aboriginal art. 

All children showed tremendous team work and enthusiasm and we had the most amazing day learning about different countries in our world! 

If only we could travel the world in a day every day!
