Anti-bullying Ambassadors

Our Anti-Bullying Ambassadors will continue to support and befriend children in class and at break times this term. One of their first tasks this year will be to choose and train two new Buddies from Year 2 and then together work out a programme of events and projects for the coming year. We aim to have a special event or focus each month, which the ABAs introduce to the whole school in assembly.  Children who need support and advice can speak in confidence to our Ambassadors or with Mrs McFetridge or Mrs Hynes. There is also a very helpful section on the website www.antibullyingpro.com under "support".

The parents and guardians section of the Anti-Bullying website gives lots of important and relevant advice:  http://www.antibullyingpro.com/parentsguardians There is also helpful advice on the netmums site, which you can access through the anti-bullyingpro.com parents pages and on http://www.childline.org.uk/Explore/Bullying/Pages/Bullying.aspx

The whole school takes part in activities during Anti-bullying week. This year the Anti Bullying Week is 15th - 19th November and the theme was "One Kind Word". The Ambassadors worked with each class to help them understand how to make positive choices and look after each other. It is always great to see some of our younger Ambassadors leading activities with older children.
